Gold Rush Part II 2010:
Apple has requested app developers working on iPad apps to submit their work by 5.00PM PDT on 27th March, to make it on time for the iPad launch on 3rd April. Apple already has over 150000 apps on the AppStore, but the iPad is a new game to quite an extent. Using the larger screen and structure, the scope for innovation with apps is much higher. Though the challenge to build these apps without an actual iPad in hand remains, Apple would actually test out the submitted codes on a live iPad to ensure only the bug free ones go through.
Apple plans to have the iPad App Store live along with the launch on 3rd April and it would be exciting to see what games, utilities and apps comeup there on Day 1. Not to forget that over 120,000 iPad’s were pre-ordered on Day1 itself, assuring as many as half million iPad users in the first week of April if things go well for Apple. Some crazy App downloading can be expected…
